With this series we explore the “commonplaces” we inhabit and inhabit us. The works are inspired by territories, both physical and symbolic, that evoke and transport us to different colors, textures, spaces and horizons.
Our language for the creation of this series are colors, repetition of shapes, textures and transparencies. Silk is the medium that serves as the basis for us to be able to modulate our “voice”.
The fabric has been with humanity for centuries. Perhaps because she is so close or because she has been associated with the female world, she has not been given the importance she deserves. Many emotional and tactile memories are related to this material.
We have turned working with traditionally feminine techniques and materials into the paradigm of our form of expression, thus claiming a feminine form of artistic creation.
